Is Coeur d’Alene Place Right for You?
Coeur d’Alene Place is a planned neighborhood inside Coeur d’Alene city limits, west of Ramsey Road and north of Kathleen Avenue. Greenstone Corporation started it in 1994, according to a 2013 Coeur d’Alene Press profile, and the first homes went up in 1995. When the Spokesman-Review covered its launch in May 1995, it was described as a 640-acre site planned for about 2,000 homes around a new Lake City High School. By the 2013 Press profile, plans had grown to roughly 2,300 homes on more than 640 acres. Building has continued in phases ever since, and Greenstone Homes still lists new homes here.
The layout is the draw for many buyers. Streets have sidewalks, small parks are spread through the neighborhood, and paved paths lead to 11-acre Bluegrass Park, a City of Coeur d’Alene park with a splash pad, playground and disc golf. The city’s Prairie Trail runs nearby and connects toward Riverstone and the Centennial Trail, so a bike ride into town doesn’t require a car. Skyway Elementary is on Courcelles Parkway, and Lake City High is on the neighborhood’s Ramsey Road edge.
It tends to suit families who want schools and parks close by, people who walk or bike daily, and buyers who like a neighborhood with set design rules. The trade-off is that a homeowners association reviews exterior changes and charges assessments, and lots are city-sized. If you want a large lot or no covenants, another part of the county may fit better. Jeff can walk you through which pockets of the neighborhood match what you want. Call or text 208-920-0410.
